As the path gets steeper, I begin to wonder if I'm in the right place. Then all of a sudden, I see a familiar face. We embrace and I hand her my letter of acceptance. Neither one of us can actually believe that I am there.
She ushers me inside to a very small room (by Western standards) and introduces me to the "team".
We are about 20 people from all over the world who have come to Laos to simply, yet radically it seems, to obey the Great Commission. Laos is currently a war torn nation. It's not safe to be in the streets, or basically outside of your home. The extremists will shoot at anything that moves!
So we introduce ourselves and sit around sharing stories of how we got there and why we came. Believers in this highland region of Laos are being intensely persecuted and we have all come to pray "on site". To plead with Jehova to protect and strengthen our brothers and sisters.
I came to Laos alone. But all of a sudden, Cody is there by my side. I don't know why we didn't come together or how he got there; but all that matters is that he is here now.
* That's pretty much all I remember of this crazy dream that I had last night :)
