As we drove away from Stanford yesterday, the sky seemed to stand up and applaud our departure. God gave us the most amazing sunset I've seen in a long time. It was beautiful and encouraging.
We're back at Cody's moms and it sure is nice to be "home". Cody slept really good last night for the most part. He woke up around 4am coughing a lot, but was able to go back to sleep and slept til around 10. yay! I'm so glad because he hasn't had any good uninterrupted sleep in atleast a week.
His hair has already started to fall out. We weren't expecting that for a couple more weeks. Cody seems ok with it. I guess it's easier for a guy to lose hair than a girl.
We'll be making the 3 hr drive back to Stanford tomorrow. Cody has his first appointment with the oncologist at UCSF on thursday and a round of chemo on friday.
Here are a few prayer requests from Cody himself:
1. that I'll be able to breathe clearly every night
2. that the fluid in my lungs would dry up
3. coughing spasms to go away
4. muscles to regain strength
5. tumors in my lungs, lower back, skull, and any where else that they may be hiding would line up with the Word of God and go back to hell where they came from
6. JOY would return to me ten fold
7. PEACE to rest upon me again
8. FIRE of God would rise up inside of me and that I will take back what the enemy has tried to steal
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! God bless you!

Hey Sweet Amy and Dear Cody, I know you are traveling, testing, and getting treatment. I am praying for you daily and you are on my heart often. Western North Carolina is calling you "home" for some rest and recuperation. Hope that can happen soon 'cause we are "way behind on our hugs". I am praying for Cody's specific requests. Keep us posted! I send my love to you both. Mama B
Cody and Amy!! I heard last week what's happened and it grabbed hold of my heart. Just so you know, I'm PRAYING for you and thanking the Lord for you guys, and it was great and awesome to read the prayer requests. They made me smile, you guys are so cool and strong and though the situation is tough you still seem to have some joy there... I love you and I will finish reading your blog for a moment now :)
Lots of love! rut
