Day 6 and still in the hospital

Cody is still having a lot of pain in his throat and isn't able to eat anything substantial yet. The doctors say we just have to wait and be patient. The only thing that can heal his throat is
T-I-M-E. And of course Jesus.

The past couple evenings, Cody has had a low grade fever. It's hovered between 99 and 100. If it goes above 101, the doctors will start Cody on some antibiotics.

Red and white cells are fluctuating back and forth. Red cells are still low, but Cody's not in the risk zone for a transfusion anymore. Praise God! The white cells are kinda back and forth. They were high the other day, but fell down to an all time low today which meant no visitors at all.

Cody hasn't really eaten anything for 7 days now. (Well minus the bowl of soup and cream of wheat). He's still getting lots of fluids thru IV and is also getting this stuff that looks like milk but is basically liquid fat. When I start to concern myself with the fact that he hasn't had any food for a week, I'm reminded of Brother Yun who fasted for 70 days in a Chinese prison without any food or water - it was totally supernatural. I know God is watching over Cody. We are walking by faith and not by sight. Even so, I'm starting to feel a little discouraged. I just want Cody to get over this hurdle and it's just taking longer than we thought.

Please pray specifically for:

* God to do a quick work in Cody's throat

* fever

* red and white cells to produce

I'm staying at the hospital with Cody. We have a big room that feels like a penthouse suite compared to the room we had at Stanford. The cafeteria is even feeding me 3 meals a day - totally FREE! What a blessing!

God bless you. I mean that from the bottom of my heart! I continue to receive e-mails from people I don't even know who are praying for us. People all over the US, Canada, and the world. Saints of God - you are amazing!
