THE MISSING CROCK POT BOWL!

So yesterday, my mother-in-law, whom I affectionately call by her nickname (Bird), made a chicken dish in the crock pot. At the end of the night, there was only some juices left which she intended to use to make soup. So she put the crock pot on the porch so that it would stay cold over night. I guess there wasn't any room in the fridge?!

When she woke up this morning and went to retreive it, it was gone! The lid was there, but the glass bowl that actually sits in the crock pot was G-O-N-E! All you ladies know how heavy those things can be, right?

I'm beginning to wonder what lives on Cobb Mtn!? It must be something with really STRONG teeth!

The missing crock bowl is funny...although I empathize after having a bear on my porch for two years. They can carry off anything. And don't rule out the 3 Musketeers I had for a while--3 racoons which turned into 'gang mentality' and they could have moved anything when they worked together. Then they moved int he garage and I could hear stuff moving around down there!

I've watched them break into a Coleman cooler that was locked. They could teach inmates a few things. So glad you're home!!

Yes, Amy--medical missions could be in your future. No experience is wasted when you use it!! So, there you go. Your next mission outpost! LOL~

Well, I am glad you were home but if you have an animal big enough to "steal a crock pot bowl", you better put a rock in Cody's pocket until he gains some of his weight back. Oh, and keep him off that porch. Montreat, NC has a similar story. A lady put her Thanksgiving turkey out on her screened in porch overnight to thaw. A bear tore the screen and took the whole turkey. Don't have a clue what they ate for Thanksgiving. The paper don't give us "the rest of the story". Who would dare say that God doesn't have a sense of humor. Love and prayers. Mama B

I am sure it was racoons. They work together to move things! They said YUM! Someone left us dinner! I have actually done this very thing but with an electric skillet. They licked up every drop! They are very strong and smart little creatures! Glad they didn't carry it off in the woods you might never have found it! Funny story! Praying for you guys! Carolyn Moss
