When Cody and I left Sutter Lakeside on saturday, we left that mentality behind. Cody is like a new person now that we're home. He's been feeling great and has been out of bed more than in bed. He's even eating better. I am so proud of you, Cody!
Monday we had an appt with Dr. Turrill (oncologist). He decided to remove the central IV that was in Cody's chest because one of the stitches was getting infected and the actual sight was turning red. This IV is connected to one of the major veins that goes directly to the heart, so it's critical that it doesn't get irritated or infected. Anyway, it's out now.... and Cody is one happy camper!
Cody starts chemo again on monday, March 3rd. We're pretty sure that this will the LAST ONE! Yep, you read right.... the last cycle of chemo! Thank YOU, Jesus!
Dr. Turrill checked Cody's breathing and said everything sounds great. However, Cody has started coughing again. Sometimes he wakes up in the middle of the night with these crazy coughing fits. He's breathing just fine, but coughing a whole lot. Please pray specifically for that.
Please also pray:
- healing in Cody's bones
- that he would be able to move around more easily (he feels very sore and achy.. and I tell him it's just because you were in bed for almost 2 wks.. it will pass :)
- appetite
- WEIGHT GAIN
