That's what I always used to tell my mom. "Mom, I'm flying to China tomorrow. If you don't hear from me for a few days, don't worry. No news is good news."
She never bought it.
Well, I think it's true in most cases. I haven't posted for a few days and Cody's doing fantastic! He's had an awesome week at home... coughing fits have ceased and no more vomiting... Thank You, Jesus!
Tomorrow begins our last week of chemo. I say "our" because it really is both of us going thru it. Cody, physically. Me, well... mostly running for "THE BUCKET". But we're definitely going through it together because we're one now :)
The past week hasn't been without it's struggles and challenges in other areas. I've never been a super emotional person, but lately I don't even understand myself. Please pray for me... that I would be able to love above all.

Hey guys! So thankful that Cody has had a good week physically and that the two of you have had "relief" from complications of this treatment. Yes, Amy, it is a "we" situation. Our spouses are dealing with the physical aspects of cancer and chemo and we have it "emotionally". I always use the term "we" because "we" are in this together. And dog-gone-it, it gets tough!! It is an emotional journey with the men we fell in love with and that God has joined us together "as one". Sweet girl, I will pray for you "to be able to love above all" but I have no doubt that you love. No body gives up their worldly "stuff" to go into remote parts of the world (without money) to tell people about Jesus if they don't "love". You love, girl!! Hang in there - one more week!!!! Praise to Jesus!! This cancer journey is a part of your witness and a part of your mission work. One of these days it will be spiritually revealed to you and you will say, "oh, now I get it"! Having said all that, I am still waiting and it does get hard but I see myself "becoming stronger in the Lord". Oh, but it is so "tough" sometimes. I love you and continue to pray. Can't wait to get the next update. Mama B
