Pine Cone Cabin and 3 earthquakes!!

Cody and I just spent a wonderful and restful weekend at Pine Cone Cabin. It was so peaceful and relaxing and very much needed! God bless you, Bill and Kim McCulloch for opening up your place to us. We have felt the love of God through you guys.

During our 2 day stay, we felt the earth quake three times! Cody is kinda used to it since he grew up in California... but I'm not :( I mean, once in a while we experience strong thunderstorms that rattle the windows, but never earthquakes in North Carolina. I just learned that Cobb Mtn (where we live) has the highest seismic activity in the state. There are deep geothermal wells under us that cause small tremors almost daily. Yikes! We normally don't feel them at home as we live kinda on the outskirts of Cobb Mtn. Anyway, it was a fun experience getting woken up at midnight last night to the house shaking. It literally felt like someone picked the house up and shook it. Crazy!

On another note, we had an appointment today at Cody's oncologists office. We actually met with one of the head nurses instead of Cody's actual oncologist. We thought Cody was finished with chemo last friday, but the cycle isn't quite over. He got 1 hour of chemo today and will get one more hour next monday to finish up the cycle. On the 24th, he will go for a round of CT scans to see how everything looks. We don't have any news about the BMT.
Cody is having an x-ray on his right shoulder this afternoon as he's been in excruciating pain with it all weekend. We're not sure why. Please pray for that.
Our dear Irish friend Charles is coming to visit tomorrow and we are so excited to see him! Charles has been in Hawai'i for the past couple mths serving with Surfing The Nations. He's on his way back to Ireland and is stopping over to see us. What a blessing!
