We got in late last night from Stanford, hit the sack, and woke up this morning for appointment # 4 of the week. Needless to say, we're a little bit tired.

It was our first time at the cancer center and were so impressed by the valet parking, FREE neck and shoulder massages for patients and their family members (unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to get one), AND just some really super friendly people. Before going inside I had such butterflies in my stomach and ended up with an upset tummy. I guess I was just so nervous.

We are so incredibly thankful and blessed beyond measure to even be able to go to Stanford, which is one of the top 10 hospitals in the world. Thank You, Jesus, for giving us the best of the best.

We had a great visit with Dr. Srinivas and left the hospital feeling confident and so full of hope. Basically, everything depends on Cody's latest tumor marker levels including whether or not he will need a stem cell transplant. He had blood drawn and had them tested last monday (the 17th) right BEFORE his last dose of chemo. His Beta HCG level is down to 2. This is NORMAL again! This one was almost 39,000 just a couple months ago when we were in Mexico. Wow!

Cody's AFP (alpha-feto-protein) level is at 46, which is not quite normal yet but the oncologist is pretty confident that it will continue to drop.

Cody had some blood drawn yesterday to see what his tumor marker levels are now AFTER that last dose of chemo. Everything depends on that report. If the levels continue to drop, then we will go back to Stanford in a few weeks to meet with a surgeon and discuss removing the dead cells / tissue on Cody's lungs. The masses were so large that instead of shrinking, they just remained a big mass of dead cancer cells. These masses have to be removed in order to prevent further complications or the tumors becoming malignant again.

Please join us in specifically praying for Cody's tumor marker levels, especially the AFP. Pray that it will continue to drop. Dr. Srinivas is going to call us herself on monday with the report. I'll update again as soon as we hear from her.

HUGE PRAISE: Today we went to Cody's oncologist back home for a monthly injection for chemo-related anemia. Cody has been pretty anemic for the past couple months. Well, the nruse drew blood, ran some tests, and found out that Cody is NO LONGER ANEMIC! Praise God! So yeah, no more yucky injections.

We are oh so thankful for your continued prayers! We're finally beginning to see some real progress... weight gain, appetite, regained strength.

Please keep praying for complete and total healing in Cody's bones... and for JOY!

Amen, and Amen. I'm so happy to hear that things are going better. We've been praying - and continue to pray - that God will bless you and sustain you both through good news and bad and that His glory will be evident by your testimony of His grace. Amen - Rachel Wax :)

I just read about your prayer requests to run into Patrick Swayze and share with him. I have been praying that God would allow you to run into each other. Praise God. I have been praying for him and his wife, Lisa.

when you do run into them, please tell them that your friend is praying that you would be able to encourage them.

I love you guys. We are praying for you and your journey. There is joy here.
