Don't ever give up hope

We are enjoying our last couple of days in NC with my family. The weather turned crazy last night and we've been watching snow flurries all day! No accumulation, but snow nonetheless.

We fly back to CA on wednesday. Please start praying even now for our trip. We are hoping it will be easy and uneventful and not too tiring for Cody.
The picture above is just something I found on the internet. But this morning as I was headed out, I thought about the flowers that are blooming all over and how this cold weather must just be such a bummer for them! There hope has been dashed over and over already this season.
Eventually the cold will be gone and the flowers will be able to breathe and accomplish their purpose.
Somehow I ended up relating this to the season that Cody and I are in. We feel like flowers that are trying to bloom and just when we think it's going to happen, it snows.
A dear friend of mine had a dream about Cody the other day. In her dream she met Cody and said to him "don't ever give up hope!"
Sustain me according to Your promise, and I will live, do not let my hopes be dashed. (Psalm 119:116)
