This song went on last night for a good 10 - 15 minutes. International flags waving, people clapping, some whistling, others crying, sitting, standing, jumping, laughing. We all worship God in different ways and that, my friend, is the beauty of it all. God didn't whip out the cookie cutter when He was creating each one of us. He saw you in your mother's womb and formed you, every part of you. If you don't believe it... just go find a tree, sit under it, and meditate on Psalm 139 for a while.
Last night, I saw an elderly lady with a walker literally run across the stage into the arms of her waiting husband. His face lit up like a little boy getting his first puppy! I stood there in complete awe of God who had just healed this woman, tears streaming down my face. There's something about the presence of God! I can't sit, can't stand, can't speak, I can't do anything but cry.
And as I watched this couple embrace, I noticed a girl beside me probably a little younger than myself just jumping up and down with the biggest smile on her face. She was so happy! She was like God's little cheerleader. Everytime someone would share a testimony, she would get so excited and do a little dance. It was awesome to watch her childlike faith and put a grin on my face from ear to ear.
Closer to the end of the meeting, Todd started calling out cancer. And he asked for anyone who had cancer to get on the stage. I grabbed Cody's hand and said "lets go!" He said, "again??" And I said, "yes, again!" God didn't tell us to keep knocking for no reason, did He? :)
Anyway, we politely pushed our way through the crowds as quickly as possible. We finally got on stage and there were atleast 15, maybe 20 people lined across the stage who had been diagnosed with some form of cancer. Todd laid his hand on Cody's forehead and he fell. Then me. Then the guy standing beside me. Sometimes the presence of God is so intense, who can STAND?
Honestly, Cody has been really tired through all the meetings. But his countenance has changed! He has so much joy, is talking a lot again, and just seems overall happy. It's been hard for him to sit for 4 - 6 hrs, but we brought pillows from the hotel and that helps a lot.
Cody's burns are itching and peeling a lot these days, which I think means they're healing. But he just found 2 new areas, one of which is small and actually in an area that shall remain nameless. Please pray for continued healing.
It's just so refreshing to be in the presense of God with thousands of brothers and sisters from all over the world.
