"Cody, you're glowing!"

I just had one last 30 minute visit with Cody for the night. He was doing ok, but still in a lot of pain.

He asked me to read to him from Psalms and as I read, I noticed that his entire countenance started changing. He looked so unbelievably peaceful and even his skin color changed! I had to take a double-take, I couldn't believe what I was seeing and wasn't sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. Cody's face was literally glowing! And I felt like God said to me that Cody is anointed.

And I just said to him, "Cody, you're glowing! You're so beautiful".

I wish all of you could've seen how bright and vibrant his skin color was! I've never seen anything like that before in my life.

Driving to our host home just now by myself was hard. (is that a run on?) I always forget the landmark of where I'm suppose to turn and Cody has to remind me. "Chantilly" he always says so lovingly. And I have to admit that it's lonely in our room right now. I'm so used to being with Cody 24/7. Hopefully, he'll only be in ICU for one night and then I can go stay with him the rest of the time.

Don't worry all my little mommy's out there :) I'm about to get a full nights sleep.

yes, immediately this mommy thought "oh my I hope she sleeps well." Thanks for being a comfort even when you need to be comforted!

WOW!! I am thanking God this morning for his strong presence during that visit and as your read His word to Cody. I hope others in the hospital are witnessing what is going on and observing your continued trust, love and faith in a man called Jesus. Hoping to get news that Cody is in less pain and that you are with him again.

I am so glad that you are able to go to a "host home" and get some sleep. We little mommy's are praying for your health and strength through this time. I grieve that real mother Reese is so far away from you - I know she is troubled.

Many prayers to you this day as Cody deals with all that goes with surgery recovery.
