If there was ever a day that I needed the camera, today was that day! I actually got to sit in on Cody's bone marrow biopsy! It was a pretty wild little procedure, but nothing too gory. I guess it can be pretty painful, but Cody only experienced a little bit of pressure. The worst thing for him was having to lay on his stomach!

During the procedure, the doctor commented on how strong Cody's bones are. He actually had a hard time getting into the marrow because of that and it took longer that normal. Well, considering everything Cody's been thru that's a great problem to have.

We won't know any results until next week.

After the biopsy, Cody went to see a neurologist. Dr. Lopez gave Cody a full neurological exam and found that everything is at it should be, except of course Cody's vision and his tongue. Dr. L diagnosed Cody with nerve damage on the right side of his tongue, which is what we were already told but it was good to have a second opinion.

I just wanna say that all the doctors we've gotten to meet at Stanford are top notch!! We're so pleased with the level of professionalism, respect, and care they give us. Thank You, Lord.

As we were getting ready to leave the hospital, Cody hopped on the elevator to go downstairs to ask one of our friends in the radiology dept for a parking pass. Otherwise, we would've had to pay $6, which isn't a lot I know - but it adds up when you've had to pay it everyday this week! I went to return the wheelchair we'd been using and sat down by the elevator to wait for him. About 10 minutes later, I saw him round the corner and walking towards me. He had decided to take the stairs instead - he's so full of perseverance! As we got in the car, he said "watch this"... and just got in so easily which is totally a miracle compared to yesterday when he could barely even walk. I'm so thankful for all the progress he's making even if it's just something as simple as being able to get in the car easier. God bless you, Cody!

On another note, I'm so glad it's friday and I think I might just sleep all weekend :)

Hope you both are getting some much needed sleep. Continuing to pray that the bone marrow biopsy is negative.
