We finally got out of the ER right before midnight and into a private room in the "clinical decision" area. It was a huge blessing that they moved us, because we really needed sleep. I managed to crawl onto the micro-twin with Cody and actually got decent rest. After today, I think I'll sleep for 12 hours straight.
All this news is subject to change momentarily, but here's what we know at 7 am :). It sounds like surgery has now been ruled out because the tumor is so small and the bleeding is stable. Praise God!
Our biggest prayer request right now is for Cody's vision to recover.
We're waiting to speak with Cody's oncologist to see what will happen next. When I spoke with her yesterday, she wanted to set Cody up for chemo beginning on August 13th - 5 days inpatient. The reason for that is because his AFP tumor marker level had risen as of last Wednesday, so she wanted to give him more chemo to get the level back down before the BMT.
Thank you for praying for us.. and for the encouraging emails!
Cody's doing good and is enjoying his morning tea, but is a little confused by the whole vision change. To give you a more clear picture, if he puts his right hand up to the side of his face he can't see his hand. He can see fine looking straight. Please pray with us that his peripheral vision will recover soon.

My day is crazy, too, but I am praying for you as I go through it.
My love,
