Ridgecrest

Yesterday I went with the DTS students to Ridgecrest for a "mountain top" experience with God. It was cold and wet and we couldn't even see the mountains, but beautiful nonetheless.
As I sat by the creek with golden leaves falling all around, I needed God to speak to me. I wasn't leaving until He did. My heart needed to collide with His. It wasn't very long before He started talking. I guess He had probably been waiting for me. Among other things, He reminded me how much He loves me. I am His daughter, His princess. In His eyes, I am royalty. He has caught and continues to catch my every tear. How can we do nothing but love a God like that?
Below are a few pics from the day...

"Jacob set up a stone pillar to mark the place where God had spoken to him. He then poured wine over it as an offering to God and anointed the pillar with olive oil. Jacob called that place Bethel - "house of God" - because God had spoken to him there." Genesis 35:14 & 15

I am so glad the DTS students went to Ridgecrest for the "mountaintop experience." Many people meet God there and it is awesome. I retired from there about 8 years ago and I loved every minute of being there in ministry. It is a beautiful place and has been a place of training for 101 years now. I do hope your group can go back on a clear day and enjoy God's beauty. He speaks to us no matter what the weather. That is awesome too.

I will share this "blog" as a testimony during a devotional at Ridgecrest soon. Thanks for sharing.

I will see you Thursday. I will be praying for you as you face some really sensitive days this week.

Love,
Mama B

Dear Amy,

It is now close to 1 am on Sunday morning. I am praying for you right now. Praying you will sleep well and feel God's presence in a very special way. I wish we could see you tonight at the memorial service, but we are a little too far to come. I will be praying for you here in Mexico. Please know that my boys and I continue to pray for you every day. I must say, I think Cody would be extremely proud of you! You are awesome! Love, Missy
