"We are killed because we are Christians"

A couple days ago, I posted an article on the intense persecution that Christians in Iraq are currently facing. Here is a follow up to that article. I actually didn't hear about this on the "News"... I had to go digging! If you're intersted in reading more about the persecution that has escalated all over the world over the past few months, check out this website. Most importantly, please pray for our brothers and sisters around the world. They need strength that only God can give to help them stand and remain faithful.
"I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world!" - John 16:33

It would have to be difficult (not to mention dangerous) to be a Christian in a Muslim nation. Particularly when their "scriptures" teach them to "prepare to ambush them, lie in wait for them" and to kill anyone who does not believe their teaching.

And we, here in America, think we get persecuted for our faith! Yikes!! I'm glad I'm not there!

I was preparing for intercession on the persecuted Christians in Orissa, India and I decided to check your blog...as I am a little all over the place and there I found you writing about this same subject.

I am sorry to hear of the news of your grandmother and for your mom. I can imagine it must have been hard to see your gpa see your gma the last time...all too close to home.
