Last night I got a call from my dear Palestinian friend, Khalida. If you're a faithful reader of the blog, you've seen her pictures and heard a little about her before. She's an ex-Muslim with one of the most powerful testimonies of God's faithfulness I've ever heard.
Anyway, last week she had a "female" surgery... not a hysterectomy. She had been having a issue with blood for about 6 mths. Sound familiar? After the surgery, the doctor told her to schedule an appt for a follow up. These are usually done several weeks after, but for some reason the doctor wanted to see her in 6 days.
As Khalida walked into the doctor's office yesterday, the receptionist pondered why she was coming back so soon. A few minutes later, Khalida was finally in with the doctor. "You're lucky to be alive!" were her first words. Khalida immediately started telling the doctor that she doesn't believe in luck. You're either blessed or cursed. If you walk with God, you are blessed.
Khalida had a cancerous tumor growing in her womb. Her body was treating it like a pregnancy - the doctor even did a pregnancy test on her before the surgery. Sometime over the past few months, her womb "fell" causing all blood flow to the tumor to be cut off. If this had not happened, the tumor would've continued to grow and possibly even spread to nearby organs.
This is the 4th time Khalida has had cancer and God miraculously healed her!
As she shared this with me last night on the phone, I just had tear after tear streaming down my face as you can imagine. I love Khalida so much! We have a spirit to spirit connection. She was there with Cody and I during some critical moments before he went to be with Jesus. She sang over him and prayed for him in Arabic. She held his hand and kissed his forehead. She stroked his hair. It was her eyes that he looked into and said "pray for Amy".
I hope this somehow encourages your heart today and blesses you in whatever you're walking through. God is faithful - in life and in death.
To live is Christ, to die is gain.

Modern Day Miracles! Praise God for each one of them! Rejoicing with you for your friends healing.
I have a saying too, "You are never fortunate, or lucky, you are always blessed." Thank you Jesus.
I don't believe in luck either. I KNOW where healing and blessings come from and it is not just "random luck". Praise God for Khalida. What a testimony she has for us all. Thank you, Amy, for sharing.
