Last week I had a craving for blueberry muffins. I checked the package to see what ingredients I would need and was surprised to see that I only needed to add water. 1/2 cup.
So I dumped the mix into a bowl, added water, stirred, poured into muffin cups, and into the oven she went. They were only suppose to bake for 20 minutes max. 45 minutes later they still looked like dough balls. I gave up.
2 days later...
In the mood again for muffins. Went thru the same routine as before, only this time I think I had to add an egg and a little bit of oil.
45 minutes later and it's the same story as before. Dough balls!
What in the world am I doing wrong, I wondered to myself. I checked the box to see how much water I was suppose to add. 1/2 cup. That's what I did.
Checked the measuring cup. Oh!
Yeah, I added 1 1/2 cups of water. No wonder it looked like soup.
Good grief!

i actually just made blueberry muffins last week.......They were good too!

We cooks have all had those kind of bo-bo's. I added a can of evaporated milk once to make a key lime pie! It looked great, just mouth puckering sour! It was so sour, you couldn't eat it! Turns out, it was supposed to be condensed milk. :)
