"The Father sets those dates," He replied, "and they are not for you to know. But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughtout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." - Acts 1:6-8
Here are two things I noticed in these 3 verses.
- the apostles were only concerned with the freedom of Israel and restoration of the kingdom
- Jesus was more interested in souls!
I can almost hear the apostles... tugging on Jesus' shirt tail, saying "come on, tell us! are you gonna restore the kingdom or not?"
And then I can see Jesus, smiling gently, and thinking to Himself... "you guys just don't get it." There were so many more people who needed to be told. Jesus was more interested in the souls of man.
Beautiful.

Yes! that's why we're still here, so when people see what we're going thru and wonder how we can possibly have an ounce of joy in our lives, we can introduce them to the source of that joy! Thanks again for sharing! Oh by the way, did you know that when I see your smiling face, I see Jesus! : )
Seems like that's what we have always been focused on 'our freedoms' instead of recognizing the bond-servant!
Hey there...I have been following your blog for a while now. I have a friend who lost her husband in May to a brain tumor. Another friend of mine passed along your blog site through me. I am hooked! I love what you offer each day. Thank you for your obedience to the Lord and for your sweet spirit.
I pray for you....
