The last thing I want or need is another book to make me feel good, fire me up, give me a spiritual high... without giving birth to something.

I'm realizing this more and more as I read The Irresistible Revolution. I want it to bring about change, real change.

Shane Claiborne says stuff like... "We can admire and worship Jesus without doing what He did. We can applaud what He preached and stood for without caring about the same things. We can adore His cross without taking up ours."
That's convicting.

I'm not writing out of cynical judgement, but from a deep desire and longing for something more. To really do what Jesus did, to care about the things He cared about, and to take up my cross.
I think I'm going thru open heart surgery...

I'm beyond excited about this! Thanks for reading it.

It's hard but so good! I'm planing on starting a community house around the Atlanta Ga area! I'm just praying through it right now. Asking God to give me people with the same vision. As I read my bible and read this book the more I'm convinced that God truly intended us to live in community with each other and it's possible.

I'm glad you are enjoying it but it is just like open heart surgery!
