I had a perfect weekend with my dad and Kristina! I couldn't have asked for more. I'm a little sad now that they're gone, but oh so thankful for the precious time I had with them. I actually feel like daddy's little girl for the first time in my life :) I love it!
We are still rejoicing over Cody's latest tumor marker reports! His AFP level was 1,600 last month and is now down to 63! I'm not sure what normal is, but I think that's pretty close.
Cody is actually in the hospital right now. He ended up with a really bad burn in his throat from all the radiation and was unable to eat or drink anything substantial for 3 days. So he's now in the hospital for the rest of the week getting RE-hydrated.
His red and white blood counts are extremely low because he was getting radiation and chemo at the same time. The doctors are giving him daily injections to give the cells a little boost.
Before this thing with Cody's throat, he was doing great! He was eating like a horse and even starting to gain weight. After this weekend, he lost 16 lbs, which puts him at 142.
Please pray specifically for:
* Cody's throat and stomach (also affected by radiation) to heal completely and quickly
* red and white blood cells to PRODUCE, PRODUCE, PRODUCE!
* weight gain and appetite
