We didn't come into this wilderness for nothing

Postings have been few and far between lately. It's not that I haven't had anything to say, rather no real energy to say it.

We've been driving an average of 500+ miles a week to Cody's daily radiation appt's. He's also doing physical therapy twice a week and starts chemo again on the 19th for 5 days. whew! With gas prices nearing $4.00, we are incredibly thankful to the American Cancer Society who reimburses us for mileage. It doesn't quite equal out to what we spend, but every little bit we get back helps a lot.

Cody's doing great physically, but seems to be having a hard time emotionally. I think everything is starting to wear on him. We had CT scans of the chest, abdomen, and pelvis on monday just to see how everything looks. No changes, which is kinda neutral news. Praise God it hasn't gotten worse. We also have the latest tumor marker report, which shows that Cody's AFP level has risen once again.

We continue to stand on God's promises to us. And eventually the doctors are gonna be shocked, saying "no way" - but we will stand and say "YAH-WEH!"

This weekend, we're going up to Bethel again. We're looking forward to lots more anointed prayers and more good times with our friends there.

God bless all of you who are standing with us to see the manifestation of healing in Cody's body. It is coming! We walk by faith and not by sight, or by what the doctors tell us. With every fiber of my being, I am trusting God to heal my husband. I know it's not His will for Cody to be sick. In the New Testament, Jesus NEVER walked up to a sick person or a person who was blind and said "hey, you just hang on for a little longer. I'm gonna use this to teach you something." No, instead Jesus healed them on the spot!

Oh, this age that we live in... for some reason, we think God brings sickness to teach us something. I don't believe that. Yes, I know that God can turn things around and use them for our good but I don't believe He causes sickness. It is not His will for His children to be sick. When we pray "Your kingdom come, Your will be done - on earth as it is in heaven". There is no sickness in heaven, so why do we think it's His will for us to be sick on earth??

I know we live in a messed up world where bad things happen to good people. But we should never think that we have to live with a disease or some kind of illness because it's God's will and He wants to teach us something. Come on, Jesus people... stand up and fight! Go after your healing!

That's exactly what we're doing. We are fighting. We can take this giant with God on our side!
