We arrived home safe and sound late sunday night. We had an amazingly refreshing time in Lakeland. Cody got lots of anointed, spirit-filled prayers and even seems more joyful lately, praise God!
He was suppose to start cycle 6 of chemo yesterday, but was pretty exhausted after a long day of travel so I rescheduled for next week. We're thankful for a week of no appt's, especially after crazy May!
Cody's actually doing really good, except some pain in his upper back. We're not sure if it has anything to do with the neck surgery he had in December or if it's from sleeping in a weird position on the plane, or those super uncomfortable plastic chairs at the outpouring. We don't know. Right now, we're just praying and taking a "wait and see" attitude. Please pray with us that the pain is nothing serious and for Cody to have some relief. He has recently started taking Vicodin again and it seems to help for a little while.
Burn Update
Oh, those dreadful burns on his private parts. Well, I can atleast say that his bum is pain free and almost completely healed...thank You, Jesus. His other burn is another story. He has a burn almost 3 inches long on his penis. It's really red and pretty painful. We've been using some cream prescribed by the radiologist and it seems to be helping a lot. We've also got some aloe on hand. Please pray for these burns to heal quickly, with no lasting affects. Obviously, this is a sensitive area for more reasons that just being painful for Cody. We are super encouraged by a testimony that we heard in Lakeland about a guy who had similar radiation therapy. His doctors told him he would never be able to have children. Well, what do they know? He now has a child!
We are continuing to walk by faith and trusting God in EVERY area. We know that He can make any one of those little spermie's come alive if He wants to. I mean, He created us. He knows our bodies better than any doctor.
"You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb." Psalm 139:13
We are so grateful for your prayers and constant love towards us! We love you and bless you.
