The pain in Cody's back has become almost unbearable, so we went to see the oncologist this morning. I really wasn't sure who to call... the oncologist, the physical therapist or the spine surgeon or...? So we decided to start with the oncologist.

Of course, he has no idea just by looking at Cody why he's having so much pain. But he ordered an x-ray and a bone scan for tomorrow morning.

He also sent Cody to the infusion room for an injection of stronger pain med's. Cody felt sick right away and before I could even ask the nurse for a bucket, he threw up all over himself :(

He walked out of the oncology office shirtless and was thankful that no one was in the waiting area.

We drove straight to the store to buy him a new shirt. I saw a clearance rack full of father's day shirts and my eyes fell on one inparticular. See photo :)

The only time Cody's comfortable is when he's laying down. The pain med's have increased and his appetite seems to have decreased. He has lost 6 lbs, but it's not very noticeable.

We found out today that Cody's platelet counts are still low, even after 3 units of transfusions so he couldn't have gotten chemo this week anyway. Honestly, it's a nice little break but Cody can't even enjoy it with all the pain. I'm trying to stay positive and not get discouraged, but it's becoming increasingly difficult. I just hate seeing Cody in pain. If I could take it away, I would in a second.

The burn on his penis is feeling a lot better, praise God! I've been covering it with all natural aloe vera oil and it has helped tremendously.

Please keep praying for us. We covet your prayers more than you will ever know. I'm sure it's only by your prayers and God's grace that we haven't come completely undone by now.
