I finally got to talk with one of the doctors this morning about his tongue. She said the side of the brain where he had surgery doesn't affect the tongue. But during surgery they had a really hard time putting a tube down his throat, so MAYBE that's why it's swollen on one side and acting so "lazy". Please keep praying for complete recovery. The baby food their feeding him is getting old real quick!
They took the banages off the back of his head this morning... and I think I counted about 60 staples that go in a big arch (see photo). It's gonna leave one gnarly scar, which reminds me of something Cody told me before any of this ever happened. He said he wanted to have a lot of scars. So far he has 5 new ones in just 8 mths.

Well, guess I was "wishfully thinking" when I said "no bandages"! I was hoping for MUCH LESS! No wonder he is in pain.

Happy Birthday, Cody!! You can have a belated celebration when this is over! I fully expect that Amy will do that for you - as well as your mom and sisters - and who knows, your dad might even surprise you again!!!

Now I can officially say HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! That is one crazy scar... which, will come with an amazing story of healing to share when this is all over! We're praying for you both to be refreshed today!
