We just had a great visit with Cody's sisters, mom, and their cousin visiting from Arkansas.
Cody's doing pretty good. He really needs some sleep, so please pray for rest. Uninterruted rest, which is not easy in the hospital.
Also, the right side of his tongue still feels very different. He describes it as not having any control over it. Right now he's on a diet of soft foods only since it takes a lot of work to actually eat something. You never realize how important the tongue is until it's not working properly. He can still feel and his taste is normal, but the right side just seems a little lazy. That's the best way I can describe it. Cody is NOT happy about this at all! Please pray for this to recover and heal quickly - and also peace of mind for Cody in the meantime.
Another prayer request is the pain issue. Cody has been getting a lot of strong pain med's - but unfortunately, nothing has really helped very much. Please pray that the nurses will be able to find one that works very soon.
And of course, the peripheral vision that I've mentioned a lot is also a big prayer request.
Your prayers, comments, encouraging words, and emails are blessing us so much! Please keep writing - even if it's just to say hi :)

I am just saying "hi" this morning but also wanted you to know I am "block tracking you". Hope Cody had a better night and that both of you were able to rest some. Thanks, Amy, for keeping us posted. I copy your "blog report" and forward to my prayer group. They are as anxious as I am about "more news". Women! What can I say about us? We want to know it all.
Glad you had some familiar faces to visit you yesterday.
HUGS from the Boone Home in Black Mountain, NC!!
