good grief, GRIEF.... and 5 new brothers & sisters!

One minute, I'm fine. The next, I feel like I've just been broad-sided by a Semi. Grief is so strange like that! It's exhausting, painful, tiring.... etc, etc...

I'm still in Charlotte.. until friday and then I have to go home and clean up that pile of boxes that never made it past the livingroom.

Last night I got to spend some time with sweet friends, Rey & Yerma O'Farrill from Havana, Cuba. I used to teach them English a couple yrs ago... unfortunately, it didn't work very well... but awesome seeing them again :) They're so involved in their church and community and so in love with Jesus. They love preaching, teaching, and sharing Jesus wherever they go. Rey is currently in seminary and wants to preach all over the world especially Africa.

We went to the grocery store to buy groceries for a Mexican family living in the area. The family is having a hard time finding work, therefore having a hard time feeding their children. So Rey, Yerma, and others from the church bought tons of food and I went with them to deliver it. Before giving the food, Rey shared the reason for the hope that we have... and all 5 of them in the family prayed to receive Jesus!! It was awesome and definitely one of the highlights of my day.

Below are a few pics with Rey and Yerma.
