Jesus heals Lakshmi's hand!

in the US, we call them maid's. here, they are called servants. almost everyone has them... people who clean your house, wash your dishes, do your laundry, and even cook your food. it is common place.

i don't like the word servant, so i will just say that the girl who does our cleaning is named Lakshmi. she must be about 25 years old, maybe younger and is small and petite. she has big brown eyes and a smile that lights up her entire face.

last friday, i met Lakshmi for the first time. she doesn't speak Engllish and i don't speak Telugu.. so we just looked at each other and smiled. i wish so much that i could talk with her - to ask how she's doing and what her life is like.

when i met her last week, she showed me a lump on her hand. i held that hand and asked Jesus to heal her.

i'm told by the ywam team here that Lakshmi used to go to church, but she is still wearing the bindi (red dot on forehead), which mean she's still worshipping hindu gods.

anyway, i see Lakshmi everyday.. but today was different. i walked into the kitchen, rubbed her back (cause touch speaks louder than words sometimes) and smiled at her. she raised her hand to show me that lump was completely gone! hallelujah!!! praise Jesus!

a while later, she was sweeping the floor... and came over to me, bent down, touched her chest and then touched the top of my foot. im not sure exactly but im told that this means "i honor and respect you". wow.

brothers and sisters, please join me in praising Jesus for what He is doing in Lakshmi's life!
