back at Stanford!

So we're back at the hospital today because Cody woke up in a lot of pain and having a hard time breathing again. The paid med's that he has just aren't sufficient and don't give him any real relief.

The doctor is concerned about Cody's left lung, so he's going to have a chest x-ray.

We don't have any results from the bone marrow biopsy yet. I guess that takes a little bit longer especially since monday was a holiday.

Please pray specifically for Cody's left lung.. whatever God lays on your heart.

I'll update again as soon we know any news.

A friend of mine forwarded me your blog. Even though you don't know me I want to encourage you in the Lord. From reading your posts I know you have the right perspective and obviously you've placed your journey in the Lord's hands. Please know that I will be praying earnestly for Cody and what lies ahead.

I have just come through a medical journey of my own and the Lord made a way when things were at their darkest. I was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis about 2 years ago. A disease which has no known cure, humanly speaking. Pulmonary fibrosis is basically a scarring of the lungs which over time will cut off oxygen to your body. I was at the point where I couldn't breath without supplemental oxygen 24/7 and couldn't even walk across the room without being out of breath. For months I stood on the Word, prayed and trusted the Lord. I went to the healing rooms at Mtn. Vintage and had many people come to my house for prayer and anointing.

On July 3 of this year the Lord answered those prayers and provided a lung transplant!! I give Him all the praise and glory for His miraculous deliverance and will pray the same for you Cody. Be encouraged that there is nothing that is impossible for our God to accomplish! Nothing has taken the Lord by surprise with your situation and the same God that knows when a sparrow falls to the ground has you in the palm of His hand.

If you're up to reading I have a book to suggest, besides the Word. It's called The Red Sea Rules by Robert Morgan. It was a real encouragement to me during my darkest days.

Also, Psalm 40:1-3 is one passage that has been a real source of strength for me and is a testimony to the fact that God is not finished with you yet. You have a powerful testimony and He is using you to impact more lives than you realize.

God IS good and He IS faithful. You are such an encouragement to me.

By His Strength,

David Gaines
