my husband, the kookster!

Ok, so this morning, I took Cody in to the oncologists to have his labs checked. Before I knew it, he was wheelin' around the waiting area in one of the wheelchairs! :) It made me a little nervous (I didn't want him to flip back), but it was so refreshing to see Cody smiling and laughing for the first time in a while. Next week he's gonna sign up for xtreme wheelchair racing.... juuust kidding!
And here's Cody with one of the little mascots at the office. Incase you can't read his shirt, it says "CANCER SUCKS". I think we'd have to agree with that one!

Cody's counts all came back good, which is totally amazing after 5 full days of chemo...praise God! Last monday, one of the nurses was certain that Cody would need a platelet transfusion by the weekend... well, that was 7 days ago... and still no transfusion needed. It's pretty amazing all the little ways God shows us He's there and walking right alongside us.
Cody's back is feeling a lot better and he hasn't had to take anymore pain med's, but we're going to Stanford tomorrow anyway to see the spine surgeon. Same guy who did Cody's surgery back in December. Please just pray for safe travel to and from. We'll be making the 4 hr (one way) trip all in one day.
