heart trips x 3

I'm back at my parents house after a week with family at YWAM-Charlotte. It was gloriously restful. I slept til atleast 10 or 11 everyday. Nevermind that I still woke up completely exhausted. I guess I have a lot of catchin' up to do.

This week, one year ago, was our wedding weekend. We made trips to Charlotte to pick up friends flying in, gave directions to lost parents, tied up loose ends, scrambled to make sure everything was in place. Not to mention, my "cold feet"! Not sure if anyone ever even knew about that, but now I guess the whole world knows :)
I can't believe it's been a year already. Where in the world did it go?

This coming monday (20th) would've been our 1 year anniversary. We talked about going to Hawaii or some other exotic location to celebrate.

This coming tuesday (21st) will be one month since Cody went to be with Jesus. It feels like yesterday!

This coming thursday (23rd) we will gather one last time to celebrate his life. The memorial will be at Biltmore Baptist Church in Terrace Hall at 6pm. Please come. Don't worry about what to wear or what your hair looks like, just come. Cody never cared about how he looked or what he was wearing.

Oh how I miss that man! He was the absolute love of my life. He taught me so much. I was looking back in my journal last night and found where I had written something Cody had said on the 18th. As I sat on the couch reading, I thought he was sleeping... and then I heard him quietly say "I love you, God" and then he spoke in a heavenly language that only the Creator of that language could understand. It was beautiful.

So many times I would hear him praising God when I thought he was asleep or "out of it". He literally praised God until his last breath.

Please pray for me over the next week - I'm certain I'm gonna need a whole lotta grace!
