This morning I quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Cody.

As soon as my feet hit the cold tile in the bathroom, I was awake. I put my contacts in, then walked over to the window. I slid back the curtain on the side where the window was open.

Curtain out of the way, I could see the morning sky... lots of clouds and a little sun peeking through, yet full of promise for a beautiful day.

I leaned on the sill as I often do. Our bathroom is on the 2nd floor, so there's always a nice breeze. And as I rested there, I lifted my face up to the sun. It was so warm and peaceful. I started sharing with Papa God how much I love Him. Our little world seems so chaotic sometimes, but I know that He's working to make something so gloriously beautiful. He loves us; Oh how He loves us! If we know nothing else in the depths of our hearts, we need to know this - God loves us with a wild, passionate, undying love. He cries when we cry. His heart aches for His children. He is love... pure love.

After a few minutes of drinking in His beauty, the smell of fresh bread danced under my nose. And I know exactly where it came from.
